The reigning champion Knicks took an opening loss to the 76ers on the road, per Posting and Toasting, and host the Wizards tonight for their first home contest since winning the championship. New York allowed 120 points in Monday's exhibition while rotating 20 different players into action, with three-point shooting producing poor results. Coach Mike Brown has emphasized intensity on defense and improved execution on offense for tonight. Washington is launching a rebuild featuring new additions Young and Davis along with young prospect Dybantsa, rebounding from last year's 17-65 campaign. The contest begins at 7:30 p.m. at Madison Square Garden.
