Ten of the Knicks' top 11 minute-getters from the title team are back, with Mitchell Robinson the only one gone, the Post reports, and the pitch for repeating is that the last eight champions all failed to. The mechanism they credit is talking: when the Hawks went up 2-1 in round one, Karl-Anthony Towns asked for a shot at the elbow-hub role and Chris Jent pushed the same idea, which preceded a 13-1 finish to the run. Mike Brown, naturally, wants trouble early, saying "I yearn for it," which is the sort of line you can only deliver from the far side of a title. Landry Shamet says the terminology carries over and camp is already covering ground the team hadn't touched at this point last year, and Jalen Brunson's version is that the group "need each other to win."
