The disrespect plays on 🟦🟧ESPN never surprises me. Forever glazin’ OKC and SAN and all it takes is the 40 yr old version of LeBron joining Embid where Jalen Brown thinks he’s better than he is, Maxey with the most punchable face in the league and we supposed to fear VJ’s sophomore season? Those two were a COMPLETE NO SHOW when we swept them. All good fam. Dont switch up now - stay where the fak you are cause when we repeat it’ll be #KINGBRUNSON and #Knicksin✋🏽.

u/yomerol · 6hOther than Pisstons and Cornheads, I think everything will stay the same in the east as last season 🤞🤞 BUT i also mentioned it in another thread, I really hate the disrespect from the media to the Knicks specially KAT, OG, and of course Cap Clutch, completely ignored from all comments, ads, expectations, etc, it's very disrespectful

The Knicks have consistently been placed as the best team in the East all offseason. The players have been on a nationwide media tour since Game 5. The furthest you could argue they are being disrespected is that they are one of the few champions who aren't being considered the favorites to repeat coming into the year, but that's it. And people consider every champion the favorite to repeat just to typically be wrong.

ESPN's NBA Basketball Power Index (BPI) is a measure of team strength developed by the ESPN Analytics team. BPI is meant to be the best predictor of a team's performance for the rest of the season. BPI represents how many points above or below average a team is. BPI accounts for game-by-game efficiency, strength of schedule, pace, days of rest, game location and preseason expectations. If you read the actual list of projections the only reason Philly is at 9% is because it was 8.6% and rounded up. They also have the Sixers at a 19.7% chance of making the Finals and the Knicks at 19.6%.
